In addition to our standard welding programs Canadian Welding Skills is also able to offer training and testing options for experienced welders. Non vocational custom training does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act 2005.

To remain competitive in the job market you may need to update your skills and qualifications . Literally dozens of welding “tickets” are available , due to the many combinations of processes, positions, metal alloys, filler metals and shielding gases etc. Possessing up to date/ current qualifications will prove welding competency and help advance your career.

Custom Skills Upgrade

Experienced welders who are looking to upgrade their skills can contact us to arrange an assessment of current skills. Following the assessment, recommendations can be made and a custom program designed. Programs can range in length from a couple of days to a few weeks, depending on your individual goals and previous experience.

Testing / Renewing Qualifications

We are a registered test centre with the CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) and TSSA (Technical Standards and Safety Authority). We run testing sessions with the Canadian Welding Bureau on a weekly basis and can accommodate testing within a short time frame.  Training for testing can be done on a part time basis on Friday afternoons
